Other Activities

We open and maintain 4 km of paths in the summer that allow guests to meander through woodland, next to ponds, along the river bank, past or through the walled garden and back. Bring your wellies! Stables are available for hire and dogs are also welcome.

Aims

At Fortwilliam we aim to create an all-round high quality experience for our guests and our team while nurturing the animals and natural environment. Some of the ponies on the grounds are from the charity My Lovely Horse Rescue Charity, https://www.mylovelyhorserescue.com and the resident bees - Knockmealdown Honey, available from the Sunday market in Lismore, are treated to a growing diversity of wild flower pollinators on the estate.

The Sunken Garden

For summer 2022 - We’re working on the Sunken Garden, re-creating and re-planting to make it a new room, a gorgeous space for memorable Summer Gatherings!
